Wonderful Day!
I had a holiday the day before yesterday because I didn't have classes. Fitst of all, I went to the beauty salon, and tinted my hair and cut. I like my new hair. Next, I went to Aso Farmland with my friend to see illuminations. There is beautiful illuminations, so I was excited. I took many pictures, and I made a good memory. After that, we went to Azisen Chinese noodle. The chinese noodle usually is 540 yen, but this was 300 yen this day. It was very cheap and so delicious!
Yesterday, I went to downtown with my older sister. I seldom go to shopping with my sister, so I was glad. She bought some clothes for me. Thank you Kana!

Last Wednesday
I took a examination of listening and speaking last Wednesday. This test was little difficult, so I worried about this score. Then, I went to Kurea with my friend, Miku. We were going to buy presents. We did window-shopping, and I found a good present! I was glad to buy it. I lost moneys this day, so I have to work a part time job hard. It comes to Christmas as soon. I am looking forward to coming a day. But I must work a job on Christmas Eve, so I was sad. Really, I want to hold a Christmas party and watch Music Station Special.

Episode 5
Did you watch FIFA World Cup this year? Of course, I watched it everyday. I boosted JAPAN team.
First of all, Japan matched Cameroon and Japan won. Keisuke Honda shot at goal. Japan recorded their first world cup win on foreign soil. When I watched it, I was so excited.
Secondly, Japan matched Holland. Holland is powerful team and has a lot of good players. Sneijder shot on goal and Holland won. Japan lost, but I thought that the game was a good game.
Thirdly, Japan matched Denmark in June 24th. The game was important game. If Japan won or draw, Japan advenced to the final leagues. The game started on 3:30 a.m., so I was got up early. Keisuke Honda, Yasuhito Endo and Shinji Okazaki shot on goal this game. And Japan won!!! Japan made history by reaching the Round of 16 for the first time on foreign soil, eliminating Denmark in the process with a 3-1 win in Rustenburg. I was so happy, and that is great! I should they were beyond all great praise.
Finally, the final leagues started. Japan matched Paraguay in June 29th. A lot of Japanese watched the game, and my family watched it. Japan lost after all. Paraguay squeezed through to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history as Yuichi Komano's penalty miss sent Japan crashing out of the tournament. I was so sad, but Japan was so good.

Next, I will talk about my favorite soccer player. I like soccer so much. I was interested in soccer ten years ago because I watched world cup in Japan and Korea. I like to playing and watching soccer game. I took part in soccer meeting before when I was pupil. I played soccer with boys when I was junior high school student. I know many soccer players. My favorite soccer player is Yasuhito Endo! He is great player! He is from Kagoshima. He took part in this year's world cup and shoot at goal. He belongs to Ganba Osaka now. He plays MF and he runs slowly. But he has pass sense. I love Yasuhito! I want to meet hik, and watch soccer game.

Kinki Kids Forever!
I went to Fukuoka last Thursday and Friday because I went to Kinki Kids concert. I won the concert ticket before, and I was looking forward to meeting them. Kinki Kids has 2 members(Tsuyoshi Domoto and Koichi Domoto). I like Tsuyoshi! He is good at singing and talkative. I went to concert hall, and there were many people. I was surprised, so I couldn't buy concert goods. When I met them, I was cried for joy. They were so cool, and they sang about 30 songs. I like their songs! My favorite song is "Ai no Katamari".

I will talk about my favorite candy. I like sweets and I often eat candy. My favorite candy is Milky. I had eaten candy since I was childhood. I like Milky so much. Milky produced from Fujiya in 1951. It is so sweet and soft candy. This candy's characteristic is Peko chan. Peko chan is a cute girl, and her boyfriend is Poko chan. They are famous character in Japan. Milky have various kinds. For example, strawberry, banana, cocoa and green tea. My favorite kind is strawberry milky. But this candy had a serious issue. This is sticky candy, so I came out my tooth with a silver crown when I ate milky. I was surprised, after I went to the dentist quickly. I did this experience three times.

I’m interested in American foods. But I know hamburger in American foods only, so I wanted to know various American foods. Then, the eating habit of America is different from that of Japan. Japanese regularly eat rice and vegetables. We have calorie in our mind. Japanese are slender in the world. But there are many fat people in America. America is called “Obesity large country”. I had expected American would often eat beef and hamburger before I visited Minnesota. In fact, there are some differences. I was surprised at foods and the eating habit of American.
2. Foods in Minnesota
2.1 Breakfast
American eat light meal at breakfast. For example, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, milk and coffee. I cooked breakfast by myself in Minnesota, and I often ate cereal and bread for breakfast. The American cereal is not sweet, so I was surprised. I ate miso soup and rice once in a while. My host mother takes a shower, and work in early morning. She didn’t have enough time. She drank a cup of tea every morning. When I couldn’t eat breakfast, I brought fruits and snack to school.
2.2 Lunch
American go to fast food restaurants at lunch or cook lunch shortly. Hamburger and Pizza are popular lunch. My host mother often cooked a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. A basic sandwich is generally with one or more slices of any kind of cheese on any sort of bread. It is easy food, but so delicious. I liked it very much.
I ate out sometimes on weekend. I went to Mac Donald’s with my host mother. The American Mac Donald’s appearance is same Japanese one. But drink is self service. It was very convenient. This paper cup is a big size. I had expected American burger would be so big before I visited Minnesota. But the American burger size is same as Japanese one. We choose a hamburger size, and the inside of ingredient. I ate a cheese burger. I felt that this burger is better than Japanese one.
2.3 Dinner
American eat a hearty dinner. American often eat chickens and beefs for dinner. My host mother worked every day, so she was tired in the evening. Therefore we often ate out. I went to Mexican and Greek food restaurants. There are many other country food restaurants in Minnesota.
When we had enough time, we cooked dinner at home. My host mother cooked pork steak, barbecue and salad and so on. She is good at cooking, and she cooked shortly. I helped my host mother to cook a dinner. Then, I often had a dinner with Yui and Kim. Kim and Veronica are close friends, and had a dinner on every Monday. Yui and I cooked curry rice and chicken and egg bowl for our host mother. I bought kitchen staffs in Japanese grocery store. This store is useful for Japanese. We bought mirin, soy sauce and dashi. I had never cooked a chicken and egg bowl. But we succeeded in cooking it. They said “It was delicious! Thank you for cooking for us.” So, I was glad.
Next, American eat a dessert after dinner. I ate ice creams almost every day. I particularly like strawberry ice cream. There are many ice cream shops in Minnesota. Dairy Queen is a famous ice cream shop. I went there three times. I always ate strawberry cheese cake ice cream.
3. Other Foods in Minnesota
3.1 Thanksgiving Day
My host mother held a party for us. Yui’s host family and Hiromi’s host family came to my house. The party is “Thanksgiving party”. Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada Generally, it celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. But they held thanksgiving party early for us, and prepared the party the day before. Veronica, Kim and Susan cooked, and I looked after children. Main dish is a turkey. Turkey is big! I seldom eat turkey, so I was looking forward to eating it. The table was spread with dishes. For example, mashed potatoes, a casserole, and fruits. I was surprised that they ate turkeys with a cranberry sauce. I had eaten too much. After that, a apple pie and a pumpkin pie served for dessert. I had a good time this day.
3.2 Difference in Japanese foods
I ate Japanese foods in Minnesota. First of all, I went to a starbucks coffee with my host mother. I ordered a green tea. I took a sip of green tea, and I said “This is not green tea!”. The American green tea was different from Japanese one. A Japanese green tea is bitter. But the American green tea is sweet so American doesn’t like bitter.
Then, I went to BENIHANA. This restaurant was sushi bar and a famous restaurant in Minnesota. American is interested in Japanese foods, and they like sushi. But Japanese foods is rich in America. They seldom eat it. I ate sushi, agedashi-tofu and tempura. I was surprised that there is agedashi-tofu in this restaurant.
4. Conclusion
I knew much about the eating habit of American. American eat light meal for breakfast and lunch. They have a splendid dinner, and always eat a dessert after dinner. They eat too much, but they are careful about health. Actually, they often exercise. American often eat out. There are many fast food restaurants in Minnesota, and they often go there. My host mother took me to various restaurants. American foods are very delicious. I liked American foods better after I visited the U.S. I ate too much every day, so I got a weight. I experienced American foods for a month. I want to know more various American foods in the future.

Mudslide
The day was heavy rain. Jessica lived her father, mother and grandmother. Her parents worked early. After she said to her granma "Here it is.", she went to school. She tried to open her unbrella, but the wind snapped it inside out. Her umbrella was broken. Then, she backed home hastily. She found the firefighter. There was danger around her house.
She entered house, and ran into the living loom. Grandma was asleep in her chair with the TV blaring. Jessica thrust her armes under her grandma and scooped her up. She opened the door, and a thick pool of mud was filling up the yard. She shoutted "Help Me!", then rescues from the fire department rushed over to them. When they sat the track seat, they watched a mass of mud and debris explode through several homes. They suvived. By then, three homes were destroyed. But Jessica and grandma were safe.

A row of windows ran along the top wall bwhind the cubicles. Tom gulped when he saw how dark it was geeting outside. Suddebly, he heard music somewhere nearby. He ran into cubicle, clambered up on to the closed toilet seat.

Tom flicked the switch on and off three times, more slowly. He lost count after his tenth SOS. Then, he could hear footsteps running towards the door. A key turned in the lock, and door flew open. Harvey smiled at Tom.
"Just as well we saw your SOS. You could have been trapped in here all night, instead of just a couple of hours".
He was surprised, so he felt like all night. At least he wasn't trapped any more.

I loved KAT-TUN for 6 years. I often listen to their songs and watched their DVDs. Their 11 singles, 4 CD Albums, and 7 DVDs all reached #1 in the Japanese trade magazine Oricon. My favorite KAT-TUN's song is "Will be all right". This song made me cheer. Also I like "Keep the faith", "Crazy Love" and "NEIRO" etc.
One day, I heard a bad news of KAT-TUN. This news was "Jin will withdraw KAT-TUN this year". I was surprised and cried to shock. Then, he decided to become a solo artist. His dream was hold concerts all over the world. He hold a concert in Los Angels in July. His dream had come true at last. I wanted to go to concert, but Los Angel is a long way from here. I like him so much, but I have never seen him directly. I went to KAT-TUN's concert this year. I went it for the first time. I was looking forward to meeting him. But he didn't take part in this concert to hold his solo concert in Los Angels. He will hold concert tour in Japan next year. Maybe, he will give a concert in Fukuoka. So I want to go there.

Hello! What's up??? I had enjoy time in holiday. I became 20 years old in October 29. So I can drink alcohol :) But I don't like alcohol. I like juice! ha ha ha! Today was holiday! It was called "Bunka no Hi". I got up early, so I started working part time job at 9 am. It was busy today, and the hall was full. I was a little tired. Then, I picked up Mie and Ayano at their house. I drove while listening music. I went to illminations in Aso farm land. I went there last year with Rice ball team^^ I watched illminations twice. It was so beautuful. There were types of animals and hearts. I was excited! Then, I could hear a noise near. This was fire works!!! I was surprised, and I couldn't see fire works in this summer. I was glad. I took many pictures. After that, we went to dinnner. I ate Udon, Oden, chicken fry and dessert. I was full! But it was 1000 yen at cost and very cheap! Then, we went to Hikari no Mori. We took a puricura and ate ice cream. I enjoyed a time with my friends. I want to see illminations again!

This story is different from the movie's story. I like better this story of movie than that of book. I want to be cute mermaid!

Today is Monday, so we said “Not good morning”. Ha ha ha! I went to school, and took 2 class. First of all, I learned adoption in U.S. A lot of American adopted children, and adapted another country. For example, Korea, South America and North Korea. Today’s teacher adapted chin and Philippine children.
Secondly I learned Volunteer. Many American volunteer to make a positive difference in their community. We will go to volunteer center tomorrow. I went to Target to shopping. There are many goods there. I was going to buy souvenir. I bought snacks, clothes, and cosmetic, so buy too much. I paid 101 dollars. Oh my goodness! I like Target, but I want to go to shopping more. I was looking forward to going to M.O.A.
After that, Yui and I cooked dinner, and today’s dinner was carry rice. We had a dinner on Monday, but today was last Monday. So I felt sad. We cut vegetables and beef, But it was very water, so this carry rice was soupy. But taste was good! We cooked carry-udon. After that, We did home work and made a scrap book.

I went to feed my starving children center. We made meals for the hungriest children in the world. Some rice, chicken, soy powder, vegetables and corn powder mixed and packed. I was interesting to work. When we want new stacks, we screamed "Rice!" and "Soy!". I had a good experience. After that, we went to north town. There is a shopping center. Yui, Eri and I ate ice cream of Dairy Queen. I ate ice cream twice there, and eat ice cream of strawberry cheeze cake every time. It is delicious!

My favorite vacation memory is staying in Minnesota for a month. I was really very happy to go to Minnesota. I went to many places. Minnesota diary 3
August 9
Today, I awake up 6:00a.m, so I was sleepy. I had break fasts and my host mother called to me. We watched saturday’s storm on TV news. It was a big storm. But I wasn’t awake come to storm. I went to school, took 4 classes. Today’s class was all inside. First of all, I took ESL. We excited to talk about weekend. My friends went to the circus, the lake and did jet ski etc. Next, I took a Japanese in America. Prof. Naomi Duffy born in Kagoshima, and stay in Minnesota now. She is good at speaking English, but spoke Japanese. She participates in home stay program and Rikkyo student lives there. I was jealous. My classmate questioned a lot of thing. This class was fun. Then, I had lunch. Yui, Eri and I brought rice to school, so we cooked it. It was very delicious. And we met American’s student. He spoke Japanese a little. He studied Japanese for 3 months, but he is good at speaking it. I was surprised. And he went to Nagasaki to trip school, and his age is 22 years old. I was enjoyed time.
I backed to home, and today’s dinner was BLT sandwich. My host family and Yui’s host family had it. It was very delicious. My host mother said “BLT sandwich is easy cooking.”. Then, I made photo book. I picked photo, thought page designs, sticked photo eat. I was fun!

Today I was very sleepy, so I was tired. We played game. It was “BUNKO” and interesting game. I won 5 times, but I couldn’t give the prize. When I backed home, it was storm. The heavy rained, and I couldn’t see front. Today’s dinner was macaroni cheese and bread. I ate three dishes. After that, Veronica and I made a scrap book. We made 5 pages today. I was enjoyed time! Kim bought a new car, and it’s color was wine red. It was so cute. I wanted to buy my car. I was jealous.

I went to the Oliver Kelly History Farm. Today it was too hot! There were many fries, so we screamed. Then, we ate some organic vegetables, and watched pigs, cows, chickens and sheeps. We were going to go to fair today, but the strong storm came. Because of that, we went to outlet mall. I wanted to go to shopping, so I was glad! We went to many stores. I surprised that TOMMY HILFIGER and CORCH were cheep. The price of America is chepper than that of Japan. I bought my father's shirt of TOMMY. I enjoyed shopping time.

Today I wake up 8:00 a.m. and Veronica, Jenny and I went to a dog park. Today’s dog park was different park. We walked course, but the course was main of cycling and runner. So we walked different road. There were many insect and glasses, and it was too hot! We walked 5 miles (about 5 kilo maters). It was so good exercise. Then, we made scrap book, and had a lunch. Today’s lunch was tomato soup, and toast sandwich. My host mother said “This is formal American lunch.” After that we went to river with Kim and Yui. There is a first place in Minnesota, and beautiful city. A lot of people hanged out. When we were shopping, I bought Key ring of Minnesota, candies and porch. Next, we had dinner to go to restaurant. I ate shrimp cocktail. It was so delicious. We talked about Monday’s dinner. We had a dinner with Yui’s host family on Monday. When next Monday comes, it was last Monday’s dinner. I was sad, and I want to stay here.
I will go to outlet mall, Japanese grocery store and Hiromi’s host family house to play game tomorrow. I will be busy tomorrow!

Yui, Hiromi, Kim, Veronica and I went to market in the morning. Many people came there and the parking lot was full. I bought two watches. The prise of them was 25 dollar. It was cheep! My friends went to the circus, the lake and did jet ski etc. Next, I took a Japanese in America. Prof. Naomi Duffy born in Kagoshima, and stay in Minnesota now. She is good at speaking English, but spoke Japanese. She participates in home stay program and Rikkyo student lives there. I was jealous. My classmate questioned a lot of thing. This class was fun. Then, I had lunch. Yui, Eri and I brought rice to school, so we cooked it. It was very delicious. And we met American’s student. He spoke Japanese a little. He studied Japanese for 3 months, but he is good at speaking it. I was surprised. And he went to Nagasaki to trip school, and his age is 22 years old. I was enjoyed time.
I backed to home, and today’s dinner was BLT sandwich. My host family and Yui’s host family had it. It was very delicious. My host mother said “BLT sandwich is easy cooking.”. Then, I made photo book. I picked photo, thought page designs, sticked photo eat. I was fun!

Today I was very sleepy, so I was tired. We played game. It was “BUNKO” and interesting game. I won 5 times, but I couldn’t give the prize. When I backed home, it was storm. The heavy rained, and I couldn’t see front. Today’s dinner was macaroni cheese and bread. I ate three dishes. After that, Veronica and I made a scrap book. We made 5 pages today. I was enjoyed time! Kim bought a new car, and it’s color was wine red. It was so cute. I wanted to buy my car. I was jealous.
August 11
I went to the Oliver Kelly History Farm. Today it was too hot! There were many fries, so we screamed. Then, we ate some organic vegetables, and watched pigs, cows, chickens and sheeps. But I thought I never will go there. Next, Veronica picked up us school, and Hiromi, Yui, Veronica and I went to picnic. This picnic was Veronica's campany festival. It was so big picnic! July 30

We took a ESL, and went to Minnesota History Center. When I watched there, and there were big sign board of the Beatles. They often came to Minnesota. We had a lunch at cafe teria, so I had to pay money. It was difficult for me to pay it. American money resembles. Then, We studied about immigrant. We wathed a lot of displays. For example, big house, Twins goods, school bus etc. I larned about Minnesota. Minnesota is nice state.
July 31 and August 1
It came first weekend, so I was excited! Veronica, Yui, Kim, Deb and I went to a dog park in the morning. Veronica, kim and Deb often went to there with their dogs. They like there. It looked like jungle and it was big park. We walked, so it was good exercise! Then, we went to subway and potter's work. I painted a plate, and I was fun! Next day, we went to a dog park again. I had to get up early, so I was tired. Veronica said "Could you take a nap?", and I took a nap for 6 hours. I overslept. I had enjoy weekend.

Today I took a ESL. I had a lunch (mashpotatoes, turkeies, bread and yoghurt), and I like it. Then, it was police officer presentation. I was looking forward to taking a class. A police man came. His name was Matt Kennett. He was Mark's son-in-law. He was cool and mascle man. I watched his hungcuff, helmet and pistol etc. He works in same area. But he has never shot a pistol. I took a picture with him, so I was so glad! Next, I played tennis. But I was tired. Yui and Eri were active. Prof. Kamimoto was interesting to move around. In the evening, Yui, Kim, Veronica and I had a dinner. Today's dinner was macaroni cheeze, bread and green beans. Yui and Kim went to watch new cars. We did home work and talked. Today was fun and laughed well.
August 7
It was thanksgiving day! Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. It was called "Turkey Day". Today, it is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Many friends and family gather. Our host family hold special thanksgiving day. I was looking forward to coming today. Thanksgiving dinner hold in my house. Hiromi, Her host family(Shannon, Susan, Abigail and Annabelle), Yui and Kim came there. I prepared to cooking dinner, and I took care of Children. Abigail is active girl, so I hold her in my arms and chased her. Annabelle is cute girl. Today's dinner was turkey and mash potato etc. It was splendid dinner! We sat at table, and ate dinner. I ate many foods and they were so delicious. I'm staff! Ha ha ha! Then Yui, Hiromi and I told a lot of stories in terrace. Next Kim said "Doumo Arigato", so We surprised. They showed a music videoto us. It was one word of a famous song. Many American know "Doumo Arigato". We laughed. Finally we ate a desert, and They backed to home. I had enjoy time with them!

Minnesota Diary 1

I arrived at Minneapolis airport at noon. I was surprised at there are many foreigners. I met my host mother, Veronica. She hugged me, so I was so glad. I met her friend, Kim. She is Yui's host mother. Kim and Veronica are close friends, and We went out at airport. Then, I saw American buildings, streets, cars and signs for the first time. I was surprised all things. We went to cubs store. There are many foods, snacks and drinks. The milk is so big!!!! We bought many goods. After that, it was welcome picnic. Yui, Eri, Sayano, Rie and I presened the Japanese snacks. Many host families ate Japanese snacks. They said "Good!". But Umaibo is so-so. I enjoyed time.

I got up 6:30 a.m. and ate cereal. American prepared to have break fast themself. American cereal is healthy, not sweet. I liked it. I went to the church, there is ban stop. Jeff was a ban driver. He is a muscle man and tall. I went to Bethel university. BU is so big, and beautiful. It was like a castle. I met Joel and Linda. They were our teather. He was kind, and she was beautiful. I toured at Bethel University. I watched many places. For example, library, cafe teria, class rooms, and gardens. I surprised at gym. When I watched there, I remenberd high school musical. Then, we went to Mississipi river. We rode in ship and cruised. I met a cute boy. His name is Dian. After that, I had dinner with Veronica, Yui and kim. We had a dinner on Monday and Deb came. Deb is a their close friend. We ate smoke salmon and sweet corn. They spreaded butter on corn. It was delicious. Next, I studied Mississippi river. Veronica helped me. I was so g lad. I felt that they have to study. They study on weekend. That's great! After that, Veronica, Yui and I went to super market, "Target". This is a big market. I bought long sleeered jacket, so I felt cold during take a class in school. We went to star backs, and drunk a green tea. It was delicious. But Japanese's green tea is different. American's green tea is sweet. American doesn't like bitter.

American KFC was crispier than Japanese one. We swim first in this year, so I was happy. Next, Veronica and I went to scrap book store, "Archiver's". This is a famous shop. There are a lot of scrapbook staffs. We were going to make a scrap book. We went to MAC. I ate cheeze hamburgar. I thought American hamburgar was big size. But this was same Japanese size. and we watched Harry Potter durin dinner. We like Harry Potter.

Hello! What's up? I went back to Japan the day before yesterday. I stayed overnight in Chiba. When I went out in airport, I can't breath a little. So Japan is very hot. I was surprised! I thought want to come back to Minnesota. I staued a room with Yui and Eri. We slept at 10 p.m. but woke up midnight. We thought came to morning. However it was midnight. We shocked. SUSHI !
Good evening! Now it is 10:53 p.m. in Minnesota. Today is so happy day! I went to school, and took a class. I took lunch with Eri and Yui. We talked a lot of things, and excited. Then, I had to write essay for yearbook. I thought that it is difficult for me to write it. But I finished to write soon. After that Yui, Hiromi and I backed to home, my host mother and Yui's host mother took us to sushi bar. I wanted to eat Japanese foods, so I was so happy. This sushi bar's name is "BENI BARA". There are a lot of people. Any Japanese clerks in here. I ate sushi, sashimi, miso soup, tempura and agedashi doufu. It was very very delicious! We taught host mothers to Japanese greeting, "Douitashimashite". They knew "Arigatou". Then, we went to ice cream shop. This is famous shop. I ate strowberry cheese cake ice cream and I was staffed. We played UNO in my house. I didn't know how to play it, so Veronica taught me. Kim won twice. I was very excited. I will go to country fair, but it will be rainy tomorrow.

canoe
I went to St. Croix river to canoe. I canoed for the first time, and I was excited. My host mother said to me "Wear life jacket, and bring sun screen and mosquito repllant". Our group is Yui, Moririn, and Prof. Kamimoto. We were beginners. First, Yui and Prof rowed. But our canoe couldn't paddle straight, and turned. We took to arrive rest place. Then, we went to floating island and swim. I ate lunch. Today's lunch was chicken salada etc, it made by my host mother. Next, I rowed it. It was fun, but I was little tired.
In the evening, it was picnic dinner with host familys. We had to do skit. Skit was the short conte. Our group was Eri, Yui, Chika and I. My role was a man, and worked for the Minnesota Twins. So I borrowed Twins uniform and cap to Eri's host father, and I wore it. We successed skit. Other group's skit was very funny! Then, I played with children. I was tired, but I was very very fine day★ Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day^^

Minnesota now!
Hello! I stay in Minnesota now. Minnesota is very good state, and has a lot of lakes and natures. Today is hot day. But Kumamoto is hotter than Minnesota. We took ESL, and learned about America government. American citizens have the right to vote at 18, so it is fast. In Japan, we have it to vote 20. United states 3 baranches of government is Legilative, Judicial and Executive. Then, we went to the Old Country Beffet, and eat lunch. There is pizza, chicken, dessert, etc. It was very delicious. I paid chip for the first time. Next, we went to Minnesota State Capitol and St. Paul Cathedel. I looked for offices of the governor, lieutenant governor etc. It was so beautiful. And the cathedral is the home church. The main dome is the largest dome in the world. It is 186 feet high (about 56m) and 97 feet (about 29m) in dimeter. It is so big and I thought it was holy place. Any people prayed there, and there is Blessed Virgin. I backed Kim's home, Yui and I played "ma-bo-". But I lost twice. Then, I backed home, and today's dinner was pizza and salad. I was staffed^^ Today was very happy day!

Three holidays!
It finished three holidays. I had a enjoy time!
In July 17th, I went to school, and took a supplementary lecture in the morning. After that, I went to shopping with Eri and Yui, my friends. We had to prepare the overseas course, but I didn't prepare. I bought a lot of things, so I had a lot of moneys. Then, we ate sushi. I like sushi, and it was so delicious.
In July 18th, I went to Ueki with my mother and my sister. Because of that, I saw my grandparents. Their house is comfortable. My grandparents is so kind, and I like them. Then, I went to TSUTAYA. I looked the CD, it is cheap. I bought it.
In July 19th, I saw my friend. She is Ayumi. She is one of the best friend. I met her in high school for the first time. We belonged the same class for two years. She lives in Fukuoka now, so I haven't seen her for a long time. At first, we went to the movie. It is "Karigurrashino-Arietti". It is a movie of Ziburi. I thought it is interesting. Then, we went to PARCO. Summer sale was the last day. A lot of clothes are cheap, so I bought a T-shirt and a pant. And we ate doughnut and ice cream. I backed to my home.

FIFA WORLD CUP
The world cup in 2010 finished. I was so interesting for one month. I like soccer and I often watched soccer game on TV. Japan took part in world cup. Japan matched Cameroon in June 14th, Holland, Denmark and Paraguay. I watched all game on live broadcast. First of all, Japan matched Cameroon and Japan won. Keisuke Honda shot at goal. Japan recorded their first world cup win on foreign soil. When I watched it, I was so excited. Secondly, Japan matched Holland. Holland is powerful team and has a lot of good players. Sneijder shot on goal and Holland won. Japan lost, but I thought that the game was a good game. Thirdly, Japan matched Denmark in June 24th. The game was important game. If Japan won or draw, Japan advenced to the final leagues. The game started on 3:30 a.m., so I was got up early. Keisuke Honda, Yasuhito Endo and Shinji Okazaki shot on goal this game. And Japan won!!! Japan made history by reaching the Round of 16 for the first time on foreign soil, eliminating Denmark in the process with a 3-1 win in Rustenburg. I was so happy, and that is great! I should they were beyond all great praise. Finally, the final leagues started. Japan matched Paraguay in June 29th. A lot of Japanese watched the game, and my family watched it. Japan lost after all. Paraguay squeezed through to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history as Yuichi Komano's penalty miss sent Japan crashing out of the tournament. I was so sad, but Japan was so good.

July 7th was the star fesitival day. It was called "Tanabata" in Japan. This event is based on a Chinese legend, in which Kengyuu (the star Alter) meets Orihime (the star Vega) only once a year on this day over the Milky Way. People celebrate this day by putting up big branches of bamboo with colourful decorations at home. People also make a wish and hang a strip of paper with their wish written on it. A lot of cities, such as Sendai and Hiratsuka, also celebrate this event by putting up many beautifully decorated bamboo branches in main streets. Many of them seem to celebrate this event in August (July in the lunar calendar) as well. I like the best "7" all of numbers, so I was excited today.
I took 3 classes, and I was tired. After that I went to PARCO with Yumi and Mie, my friends. PARCO took place on a summer sale now, so all goods were very cheap. We were going to buy clothes. Japanese style cabbage rolls
I am going to talk about how to make Japanese style cabbage rolls.
~ingredients~
・ 8 large cabbage leaves
・ 4/3 groud pork
・ 4 shiitake mush rooms, minced
・ a half onion, minced
・ 1 carrot, minced
・ a half teaspoon salt
・ pepper
・ 2 cup chicken soup stock
・ 1 tablespoon soysauce
~Cokking step~
1. Wash cabbage leaves
2. Steam or boil them to soften
3. Mix ground pork, shiitake, carrot, and onion in a large bowl
4. Season with pepper and salt and mix further
5. Divide the pork mixture into 8 portions
6. Put one portion of pork mixture on a cabbage leaf and roll it
7. Close the roll with a tooth pick
8. Make 8 cabbage rolls
9. Place cabbage rolls in a large pan
10. Pour chicken soup stock and say sauce in pan
11. Simmer the cabbage rolls on low heat until meat is cooked

1 large head cabbage, 1 cup quick cooking rice, 1 pound lean ground beef, 1 medium onion, 2 table spoons woncester sause, a half teaspoon salt, a quiter pepper, 1 can condensed tomato soup, 3 cup water, a bit oil, and 1 crashed soup cube.
We are going to explain the forrowing utensils.
A pressure cooker, A large bowl, A kitchen knife, A cutting board, A measuring spoon, A measuring cup, 8 toothpicks, 4 dishes, and A frying pan.
We are going to explain 6 cooking steps. First step is prepare onion. Secound step is prepare the cabbage. Third step is combine other ingredients. Fourth step is fold insides ingredients into cabbage leaves. Fifth step is make sauce. Sixth step is stew a roll cabbage.
We are going to explain first step: prepare onion. You'll cut an onion and fry them in frying pan.
We are going to explain secound step: prepare the cabbage. You prepare cabbage in boiling water over high heat only leaves start falling off the head. Then, 14~16 large leaves picks to make rolls and set aside the remaining parts of the cabbage.

It was a happy happy day^^ I went to KGU to take a ementary lecture in the morning. I went by car, so I was going to park on Kenritu theatre. But the parking lot is full. I was looking for another parking erea. I took a class, and I backed to home.
Then, I went to KAT-TUN concert with Ayano and Yumi. I was looked forward to see them for a long time. KAT-TUN has 6 members. I like the best Jin Akanishi of the group. But he is not. He is in Los Angeles in U.S. now to hold a solo concert. Because of that, I couldn't meet his. I was so sad. Although, I had enjoy time. I could see them in front of me. They were so cool. They sung a lot of songs, and spoke a long time. The concert was wonderful. I want to go it again, and I belived that they come to Kumamoto. I want to meet Jin next time.

Kumamoto
Kumamoto is a lot of special foods. There are special foods such as ikinari-dango, karashi-renkon, taipingyan and basashi. I have eaten them since childhood. But I don't like karashi-renkon. I perticularly like basashi.
I'll talk about Ikinari-dango. Ikinari-dango is Kumamoto’s local food. It means that it makes easily dumpling. This is called “Ikinari-dago” in dialect of Kumamoto. It stands for a sweet potato and bean jam.
Secondly, I’ll talk about Taipingyan. Taipingyan is one of the Chinese food, and healthy food. To put of it shortly, it is a bean-starch vermicelli soup. It is served for the school lunch recently. The ingredients are shrimps, cuttlefishes, pork and chinese cabbage etc.

It was a good weather, and hot! It was 30 temperature. I woke up 9:30 a.m. I went to kurea with my mother and my sister. Kurea is a big shopping center. I like there. First of all, I was going to do some shopping, but I had no money. Because of that, I couldn't buy. Then, I ate ice cream at 31. It was very delicious. I backed to my home, I took a nap. In the evening, I watched soccer program. When I watched it, I felt excited. I have liked soccer since 10 years old.

There once was a little girl who lived with her mother. They were poor and had no money for food. One day, the little girl met an old man. "Can you give me something to eat?" he asked. She gave him her cracker. Then, he gave her a magic pot. She said, "Little pot, cook!" . The pot began to fill with porridge, and they ate full and happy.
It is surprising! She is a nice girl. But her mother is greedy. I want a magic pot. Because of that, I want to eat a lot of foods. If I have a magic pot, I want to save a lot of poor people. I live a happy life now, and I can eat foods everyday. Japan is a wealthy country. But a lot of people are perishing with hunger. So I wish poor people eat many foods.

Foreign countries
I want to go abroad because I know a lot of new knowledge. I'm interested in foreugn food and culuture. i especially like America. Ihave never been abroad. I'm going to go to Minnesota in U.S. in summer vacation. Because of that, I want to study English more and communicate with native American. Amerian character is so fine. They are aggressive and humorous. My favorite tourist attraction is the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. There is a wonderful sight. I want to go there someday.

May 29th
Hello. Today is a fine day! I went to Kumamoto high school to watch the basketball game in the morning with my friend, Kaori. Kaori is one of the member of the basketball club. She is kind. I met her for a long time. I watched the game of TORYO vs SHOYO. TORYO high scool is my old school. I supported them, and Toryo won. It made me happy. When I watched it, I wanted to play basketball. Then, I talked with the basketball club's junior. After that, we went to Hikari no mori. I did window shopping. I wanted clothes, but I didn't have a lot of money. We ate in KFC,and took a prikura. Then, we went to UNIQLO. I looked for "chinopan". I bought it finally. I worked part time in the evening. Iwas very tired. But I talked with the emplyee. I had a good time.

The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse
I read this book whose the title is "The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse". The character is 2 mouses. Their name are Pipin and Toby. Pipin lived in a house in a hedge. He nibbled on wild strawberries. Toby is a Pipin's cousin.
Then, they rode in a train, and went to the town. There were no trees at all- just tall buildings touching the sky.They enjoyed to eat a lot of foods. Toby stayed in, but Pipin backed to his home. Pipin said "This is the life for me".
They are different from living place. I like the country better than the town. I live in Mashiki. There are various nature and good water. I can see tree and mountain. Pip and Toby are active!

Soccer
I like soccer very much. Soccer is one of the my favorite sport. The soccer game of Japan vs Korea was done the other day. I was looking forward to see it. I hurried to back home, and I watched it. The starting member was Endo, Nakamura, Nakazawa, Abe, Okubo, Honda, Hasebe, Nagatomo, Okazaki, Konno and Narazaki. My favorite soccer player is Endo. He started game. I was happy to watch him. I believed that Japan wins. But korea won. I was so sad. The world cup starts next month. I wish Japan wins and support them. Today, I found a poster. I took a picture instinctively. They are so cool! I like them. There was Endo's towel and plastic sheet in Hayakawa sport shop. I wanted their goods. But I didn't buy them. I want to buy all goods someday.
