Three holidays!

It finished three holidays. I had a enjoy time!

In July 17th, I went to school, and took a supplementary lecture in the morning. After that, I went to shopping with Eri and Yui, my friends. We had to prepare the overseas course, but I didn't prepare. I bought a lot of things, so I had a lot of moneys. Then, we ate sushi. I like sushi, and it was so delicious.

In July 18th, I went to Ueki with my mother and my sister. Because of that, I saw my grandparents. Their house is comfortable. My grandparents is so kind, and I like them. Then, I went to TSUTAYA. I looked the CD, it is cheap. I bought it.

In July 19th, I saw my friend. She is Ayumi. She is one of the best friend. I met her in high school for the first time. We belonged the same class for two years. She lives in Fukuoka now, so I haven't seen her for a long time. At first, we went to the movie. It is "Karigurrashino-Arietti". It is a movie of Ziburi. I thought it is interesting. Then, we went to PARCO. Summer sale was the last day. A lot of clothes are cheap, so I bought a T-shirt and a pant. And we ate doughnut and ice cream. I backed to my home.

Clever Rabbit and the Lion

I read the book whose the title is "Clever Rabbit and the Lion". The main characters are the lion and the rabbit.

A lot of animals live in the jungle. The lion is a king of the jungle, and he has great big paws and very sharp claws. He said

"I want to eat you!"

. Many animals feared him. Then, the rabbit hit on a good idea. They went to the wide river and he looked into the water. He was mistaken and swept away. The rabbit laughed, and said

"I was never seen again."

I thought the story came to an sorrowful end. The lion is strong, and is a king of all animals. The strong usually prey on the week. The lion became the underdog at last. The rabbit has a clear head. But I thought that she does not have to tease him. I wish all animals share with jungle and live in friendship.

Also, I like animals. I want to go to the zoo, and see a lot of animas.

My friend

I will write about my friend. She is Hikaru and is one of the my best friends. She is so funny. She was laughed a lot of people. I have known since I was a elementary school student. Her house is a near my house. She and I went to the same elementary school, junior school and high school. We belonged to the basket ball club and we played center field. we are tall and I am longer than her. We had a quarrel before, but made up a quarrel. I like her very much. Her hobby is taking exercise. Then, She lives in Hokkaido now, and works as government official worker. Because of that, I can't see her. I like her so much.

FIFA WORLD CUP

The world cup in 2010 finished. I was so interesting for one month. I like soccer and I often watched soccer game on TV. Japan took part in world cup. Japan matched Cameroon in June 14th, Holland, Denmark and Paraguay. I watched all game on live broadcast. First of all, Japan matched Cameroon and Japan won. Keisuke Honda shot at goal. Japan recorded their first world cup win on foreign soil. When I watched it, I was so excited. Secondly, Japan matched Holland. Holland is powerful team and has a lot of good players. Sneijder shot on goal and Holland won. Japan lost, but I thought that the game was a good game. Thirdly, Japan matched Denmark in June 24th. The game was important game. If Japan won or draw, Japan advenced to the final leagues. The game started on 3:30 a.m., so I was got up early. Keisuke Honda, Yasuhito Endo and Shinji Okazaki shot on goal this game. And Japan won!!! Japan made history by reaching the Round of 16 for the first time on foreign soil, eliminating Denmark in the process with a 3-1 win in Rustenburg. I was so happy, and that is great! I should they were beyond all great praise. Finally, the final leagues started. Japan matched Paraguay in June 29th. A lot of Japanese watched the game, and my family watched it. Japan lost after all. Paraguay squeezed through to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history as Yuichi Komano's penalty miss sent Japan crashing out of the tournament. I was so sad, but Japan was so good.

Japan team is a good team. Keisuke Honda is popular especially. My favorite soccer layer is Yasuhito Endo. He is one of the greatest Japanese players of all time. Also I like Makoto Hasebe. A lot of people said that Takeshi Okada was not a good coach before world cup. But he was estimated by many people and all of the world.


Also, Lionel Messi is famous. I like him. He is a good player all over the world. And I supposed Spain. I like Andres Iniesta and XAVI. The final game played in July 11th. Spain and Holland matched. Both team took part in the final game for the first time. Iniest's goal was a game point! Then, Spain won the world cup for the first time! It made me so happy. The world cup finished. I am impatient to held next world cup. The world cup will held in Brazil in 2014. I want to watch soccer game the local spot. I like soccer very very much!! Soccer is my favorite sports. I would like to go to the soccer stadium, and see Yasuhito Endo.

Actor and Actress

I'll write about my favorite actor and actress. I often watch dorama on TV, and go to the movie. I like a lot of entartainers.

First of all, I am going to write about my favorite actor. I like Syun Oguri. He is a handsome man. But my friends often says that "He is not good!" and I don't think so it. He is a tall man, and 184 centimater. He appeares on a lot of doramas. For example, Gokusen, Stand Up!, and Tokyo dogs etc. Everybody will know "Hanayori-dango". And he appears it. He played the part of Rui Hanazawa. Also, he directs the movie for the first time. This movie is "SURELY SOMEDAY". It release day after tomorrow. I want to watch it.

Then, I am going to write about my favorite actoress. I like Masami Nagasawa the best all of actoress. She is 23 years old and a preety woman. I have liked her since I was a high school student. She appears on a lot of doramas and movies. "Sekai no tyushin de Ai wo sakebu" is most famous of the movies. She played a brilliant performance. My favorite dorama is "Proposal daisakusenn". It is love story. This dorama appeares Tomohisa Yamashita and she etc. It made me happy.

Also, I like Hisashi Yoshizawa, Keiko Kitagawa.

July 7th

July 7th was the star fesitival day. It was called "Tanabata" in Japan. This event is based on a Chinese legend, in which Kengyuu (the star Alter) meets Orihime (the star Vega) only once a year on this day over the Milky Way. People celebrate this day by putting up big branches of bamboo with colourful decorations at home. People also make a wish and hang a strip of paper with their wish written on it. A lot of cities, such as Sendai and Hiratsuka, also celebrate this event by putting up many beautifully decorated bamboo branches in main streets. Many of them seem to celebrate this event in August (July in the lunar calendar) as well. I like the best "7" all of numbers, so I was excited today.

I took 3 classes, and I was tired. After that I went to PARCO with Yumi and Mie, my friends. PARCO took place on a summer sale now, so all goods were very cheap. We were going to buy clothes. At first, we went to LOWRYS FARM. It is my favorite shop, and there is a pretty clothes. SO I bought a T-shirt and a hot pants. It costed 3,000 yen all. It was cheap! I am going to go to PARCO again. Then, we went to Mcdonald's and Ayano came there. We talked various stories. And we went to Yayoiken. I ate pork cutlet. I and Mie ate two helppings of rice, so I ate heartily. Ha ha ha! As you can seee, I was very very happy day (^O^)/

July 11th

I had a lot of homework, and I had to study yesterday. But I went to Yamada-denki with my mother, because of that I wanted to buy ipod for a long time. Then, I found walkman. Walkman was made of SONY. It was so cute, and it is new product. It is cheaper than ipod. So I ordered it. it is going to send tomorrow. I want to use it soon. After that, I studied. I take 5 tests this week. In the evening, it brocasted election program all channel. I was bored, and I watched live on DVD.

July 9th

I went to school by bus. Then, I met a old friend in bus. I was very suprised, because that I haven't seen her for a long time. She is Yurie. I met her in junior high school for the first time. We belonged to the basket ball club, and plays same position. She is kind and funny. She is a kumamoto univercity student now. I was happy to talk with her. After that, I took a test. It is difficult, but I didn't mind it. I backed to home, and I took a snap. Then, I went to the dentist. Dental surgeons are very kind. I went to part time job in the evening. I am going to absent because I went to Minnesota to participate in home stay program. I was enjoy time. I watched "Mimi wo sumaseba" on TV. It is movie of Ziburi. It is interesteing movie. Today is happy day!

Japanese style cabbage rolls

I am going to talk about how to make Japanese style cabbage rolls.

~ingredients~
・ 8 large cabbage leaves
・ 4/3 groud pork
・ 4 shiitake mush rooms, minced
・ a half onion, minced
・ 1 carrot, minced
・ a half teaspoon salt
・ pepper
・ 2 cup chicken soup stock
・ 1 tablespoon soysauce

~Cokking step~
1. Wash cabbage leaves
2. Steam or boil them to soften
3. Mix ground pork, shiitake, carrot, and onion in a large bowl
4. Season with pepper and salt and mix further
5. Divide the pork mixture into 8 portions
6. Put one portion of pork mixture on a cabbage leaf and roll it
7. Close the roll with a tooth pick
8. Make 8 cabbage rolls
9. Place cabbage rolls in a large pan
10. Pour chicken soup stock and say sauce in pan
11. Simmer the cabbage rolls on low heat until meat is cooked

Cabbage rolls recipe

We will talk about how to make stuffed cabbge rolls. We need for 4 people.

We are going to explain the forrowing ingredients.
1 large head cabbage, 1 cup quick cooking rice, 1 pound lean ground beef, 1 medium onion, 2 table spoons woncester sause, a half teaspoon salt, a quiter pepper, 1 can condensed tomato soup, 3 cup water, a bit oil, and 1 crashed soup cube.

We are going to explain the forrowing utensils.
A pressure cooker, A large bowl, A kitchen knife, A cutting board, A measuring spoon, A measuring cup, 8 toothpicks, 4 dishes, and A frying pan.

We are going to explain 6 cooking steps. First step is prepare onion. Secound step is prepare the cabbage. Third step is combine other ingredients. Fourth step is fold insides ingredients into cabbage leaves. Fifth step is make sauce. Sixth step is stew a roll cabbage.


We are going to explain first step: prepare onion. You'll cut an onion and fry them in frying pan.

We are going to explain secound step: prepare the cabbage. You prepare cabbage in boiling water over high heat only leaves start falling off the head. Then, 14~16 large leaves picks to make rolls and set aside the remaining parts of the cabbage.

We are going to explain third step: combine other ingredients. You'll put 1 cup bread crumbs, 1 pound lean ground beef, 1 medium onion, 2 tablespoons worcester sauce, a half teaspoon salt, and a crused soup cube into a large bowl. Then, you mix them with your hand until they are sticky. And, you divide them into 8 equal parts.

We are going to explain fourth step: fold insides ingredients. You'll cut the care of cabbage and roll up leaf completely to enclose meat. Then, they fasten with toothpick and repeat the 8 process.

We are going to explain fifth step: make sauce. You'll line a pressure cooker with left over cabbage and put in 1 can condensed tomato soup and 3 cup water. Then, you stack cabbage rolls on top of sauce and cover.

We are going to explain final step: stew a roll cabbage. You'll simmer them on low heat for 1 and half hours until rolls are tender. Finally, you remove rolls and cabbage and put on dishes.

Everybody cook cabbage rolls!!

My host family

I will talk about my host family.
My host family is a woman. Her's name is Veronica. She is 51 years old, and lives in Champlin which is a suburb of Minneapolis. There is very safe and comfortable. She always takes walking in the morning and evening.

Her family does not live in Minnesota, her brother and his family are in Kentucky. Her parents lives in Oregon. She was born in England but grew up in the US. Her family emigrated here when she was 8 years old.

She likes to cook, and works for General Mills. They make lots of food products. She is a Sensory scientist. Then, she is a huge science fiction fan.


I am looking forward to see her. I will go to Minnesota soon. But I can't prepare. I want to talk about various things with her, and enjoy time.
